Just when you think everything is going smoothly, a new problem pops up. I was browsing through the error log this morning and noticed an error associated with the Ask a Question function which you can access through the link on the the right hand column.
If you have submitted a question using that form in the last month or so, it might be floating around somewhere in cyberspace but I never received it. I think the problem is fixed so feel free to resubmit any questions you have sent in. You should get a message telling you your message has been sent. If you don't, or if you notice any other quirks, send me a note via the contact link on the left side. I know it works!
Bugs in the Ask a Question function

Aug 19, 2009, 02:38 PM by FredinColorado | Category: About This Site |Some of you have already noticed the new feature I added. On the top of the right hand column is a box labeled Ask a Question. If you have a question about WorldMark or about using your WorldMark ownership you can submit your question by clicking on the link provided in that box. You could always ask a question using the Contact link in the left column but that brings up your email program and some people wish to remain anonymous and not supply their email address. With the Ask a Question form you do not have to enter your email address unless you want to.
Question of general interest to all owners will be answered via a post. There are no dumb questions. If you are puzzled about something chances are others also are puzzled. Click on the link, submit your questions.

Who's Been Paying Attention?
Mar 01, 2008, 03:49 PM by FredinColorado | Category: About This Site | 2 CommentsI was wondering if anyone has noticed any of the recent changes. For example, over there on the right side, just under the small picture, is a box labeled Today’s Tip. That little box contains a tidbit of information about how you can use your WorldMark account. The tips are from the Clues & Cues section of my main web site. If you have some tips you'd like to share, pass them along to me and I'll add them to the list used for the Today's Tip display.
Speaking of the main web site, I noticed that some of the links to the event calendars no longer worked so I cleaned those up. I think all of the links work now. While you are at the web site you might notice that there is a new link on the left side. It's the one labeled WM Resort Phone List. If you click on that link it will bring up a list of the phone and fax numbers for each resort, sorted by state and alphabetically within the state. I know, someone is going to say that those phone numbers can already be found on the WorldMark web site. That's true, but at times it is handy to have them all in one place.
If you haven’t visited the web site for a while, check it out. Click on the Website Home Page link on the left side of this page. Or if that is too difficult, just click here.

A New Year, A New Look
Jan 02, 2008, 02:51 PM by FredinColorado | Category: About This Site |Notice something different here? There used to be only two columns, now there are three. Over there on the left side are the same links that I have always had, just in a slightly different format. There is also a "Latest News" link. That takes you down below the other links to a new box. I'll repeat the content here since that content will be changing as time passes.
"This little box will hold news items that are either not WorldMark or Timeshare related or are not deemed worthy of their own post in the main section. These items will be updated on an irregular schedule. Clicking on the Top link will return you to the top of the main page."
The main change to the center section is that the comments link is now at the top of the post rather than at the bottom. That makes it easier to see if comments have been posted, especially for long posts. The number of comments posted is listed after the comments link. If there have been no comments posted there is no number listed. Also changed, which you will notice if you click on the comments link, is the note following the email input box. It says, "Optional, Not Displayed". That isn't a change, but it was not obvious before. If you supply your email address I will receive it but it will not be displayed to other visitors to this site.
The right side is completely new. The "Thought For The Day" box displays a random quote or saying when you visit here. Below that is a Poll illustrating one of the new features I've incorporated. Polls will be included as events seem to indicate that they would be appropriate. Below the Poll is a More Info area. As it says, it is "Another section that can hold almost anything. Here you might find comments, pictures, or whatever new things come along that seems interesting. Unlike the latest news box on the left side, there is no direct link to or from this area."
If you notice any problems with things that don't work right after this change please let me know. I think I have tested everything but many years of experience with software development has taught me that there are always bugs and that they never appear except at the most inopportune times.
Cast your vote in the Poll. Let me know what you think of the new look.

New Home Page
Feb 21, 2007, 04:14 PM by FredinColorado | Category: About This Site | 1 CommentI have installed a new Fred in Colorado home page. You can reach it by clicking on the Home link under My Links on the right side of the page. All of the resort pictures, layouts, travel pictures, etc., have been moved to the new home page. The links for those features now point to the appropriate page on the new site. You will also find a some new features that have not been available before.
Check it out, let me know what you think. The site will be expanding to include more material as time permits. The new site includes a Guestbook where you can leave comments.

Welcome to the Fred In Colorado Weblog
Feb 10, 2006, 10:48 AM by FredinColorado | Category: About This Site |I'm Fred, in suburban Denver, Colorado. I have been a WorldMark owner for over 5 years and have visited over 20 WorldMark resorts. I am pro WorldMark and in general, pro WorldMark management.
I feel that the forums are dominated by the negative and believe that it would be good to see the positive emphasized. I believe that the actions of a few posting about the positives of WorldMark can swing the bias to the positive, away from the negative. It should be an easy task, there are many, many more positives about WorldMark than negatives. I try to follow that philosophy when posting items but will admit that I sometimes stray into other areas. I've copied a few things over from my old site and hopefully the list of positives will grow.
Comments to posts and comments in general are welcome and are encouraged. Click on the comment button following any post and it will bring up a form to use. Comments are normally open and will be posted immediately upon submission.
Comments on items older than 30 days go into an approval queue before being posted. If I am out of town or otherwise occupied comments are also queued for approval before posting. If comments are being queued you will see a note to that effect at the bottom of the comment form. Should comments be completely disabled on a particular item or if you just want to send a note, you can send me an email using the Contact link on the right side of the page.
A few notes about the format :
Posts are listed most recent first.
On the right is a list of categories. Click on a category and it will show the posts in that category.
· General - Things that don't fit in the other categories
· Ramblings - Comments on current happenings and such
· Rumors and other Tidbits - Items I run across from time to time, often unsubstantiated
· Viewpoints - Primarily my views on the various issues
Also listed on the right are a few links that might be of interest. All of the links will open in a new window. Closing that window will return you here.
The My Links category contains links to other sites I have set up. The WM Resort Pictures site contains pictures of the various WorldMark resorts we have visited. The WM Resort Layouts site has image scans of the resort maps they hand out when you check in. Most of these were marked by the check in staff indicating our unit number. The Travel Pictures site contains picture albums primarily from areas near some of the WorldMark Resorts we have visited.
The External Links section contains links to other timeshare related sites. The WorldMark the Club link will take you to the official WorldMark site. The RCI and Interval International links are links to the two exchange companies that are associated with WorldMark. The final link, Timeshare Users Group will take you to the main page of TUG, which contains a great deal of timeshare information and a forum where owners and other interested parties can share information.
The disclaimer: This is my personal site and is completely independent of WorldMark.
